Training Courses and Associated Links
The training listed below is not required, however, members are encouraged to complete this training as part of FM CERT's on-going training.
A few recommended, but not required, courses are:
- Introduction to Incident Command System (FEMA - IS 100)
- Disaster Basics (FEMA - IS 292)
- National Incident Management System (NIMS) an Introduction (FEMA - IS 700)
- Working in a Point of Dispensing (POD) (TX Train, 1010263)
Many of the courses on the FEMA or the TXTrain website are web-based and may be completed in the comfort and privacy of your home. The courses also count towards satisfying our on-going training requirement.
